Definition and objectives of Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy, or Massotherapy, is the therapeutic practice of applying force (pressure) on body tissues such as muscles and tendons. The goal is to improve elasticity, stimulate blood circulation and / or localized pain relief. It also helps in relieving stress, anxiety, and stimulates the physical and mental relaxation of each patient.
Therapeutic usefulness and benefits of massages
The therapeutic benefits of a massage, which may have western or eastern origins, are known. Whether for relaxation, physical therapy, sports or tantric massage, massotherapy promotes a sense of balance and well-being.
Massotherapy, or massage therapy, can be divided into two broad categories: energetic or physiological. The second ones focus only on the physical system, seek to detoxify the body, improve the muscular system and bring benefits to the nervous system.
